I was fortunate to grow up in a military family where we experienced living in different parts of the world. It was hard to leave good friends when we moved often, but luckily my older sister and I have always been very close…even when she got invited to a dress up party and I did not. When not playing with my sister, I could be found happily drawing and painting.
I’ve studied art and illustration through the University of Washington and the Seattle School of Visual Concepts.
Since 2009, I've been an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and am currently a freelance artist selling my work throughout the USA, Canada, Australia and Europe.
My work has been featured in the SCBWI Bulletin and in SCBWI WWA Illustrator's Exhibits at the Washington State Convention Center and Seattle City Hall.
I live across the water from Seattle with my sweet husband and a goofy pup named Zorro who snores.
Though there is turmoil in the world today, I'm optimistic about the future and have faith in the determination and capabilities of today's children. Life is good!
