I was fortunate to grow up in a military family living in different parts of the world. It was hard to leave good friends when we moved often, but my older sister and I have always been very close…even when she got invited to a dress-up party and I did not.
I’ve studied art and illustration through the University of Washington and the Seattle School of Visual Concepts. I am an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and currently sell my artwork throughout the USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe. My work has been featured in the SCBWI Bulletin and in SCBWI WWA Illustrator’s Exhibits at the Washington State Convention Center and Seattle City Hall. I live across the water from Seattle with my husband and a rescue dog named Zorro who snores. Though there is turmoil in the world today, I’m optimistic about the future and have faith in the determination and capabilities of today’s children. Life is good!
